The Yarn:
Colour Story Yarns Handpainted Twins
75% Superwash Merino Wool 25% Nylon
2 x 200m/50 grams
Each tube is hand cranked on an Erlbacher Knitting Machine named Tiffany from approximately 100 grams plus acrylic waste yarn over 64 sts.
Tubes are approximately 23" long and 3.5" wide x 2 when laid flat(not including waste yarn)
Knitted gauge is 9sts /1” -we recommend using 2-2.25mm needles for knitting or whatever size needed to achieve a matching gauge.
*The yellow/white acrylic yarn attached to each tube is waste yarn holding the live stitches from unraveling. Pick up the sock stitches before you unravel the waste yarn.
How to complete your sock:
Because this yarn is a twin- meaning both socks can be identical if you choose -you will need to decide which colour end is your cuff or heel and be sure to repeat for the 2nd sock. OR you can complete your socks to be opposites! You can make one pair of socks or even 2 pairs if you have smaller feet or want shorter leg portions.
There are lots of videos and tutorials on youtube to help you finish your sock but here are a few we liked:
